An application for a restaurant liquor permit has been filed for 93 Campbell Ave., in West Haven.

This address most recently hosted HerSoul, a Colombian cafe that opened in 2018. But before that, it was the infamous Peroles.

Peroles restaurant slowly turned into more of a bar and nightclub over the years. Some neighbors blamed the hotspot for an increase in violence and alcohol-related incidents in the area. Peroles closed in 2018 due to family medical conditions, according to the New Haven Register.

Now new owner Sean Green, of New Haven, is seeking to start a restaurant and nightclub at 93 Campbell.

Green, doing business as Seafood Island LLC, has filed for a restaurant liquor permit from the West Haven licensing commission.

In the application, Green said the restaurant will feature DJs, karaoke, live bands, and comedians.

Objections to Green’s application must be filed with the city by Dec. 29, according to a public notice posted by the City of West Haven.
